Privacy Policy

What Mipo knows about you, why, who helps us run it, and the choices you have.

This is a draft. The final wording comes from legal review.

1. What we collect

Your account: your email, name, username, profile picture and the sign-in you use (Google, Discord, Apple or an email code), and your birthday, to check your age.

What you make and do: your chats and story runs, the characters, stories and worlds you create, your comments, likes, saves and follows, your reports, and your settings.

What characters remember: characters keep notes about you from your chats, such as facts you told them and a short profile. You can read, edit and delete them in a chat’s memory panel.

Payments: Stripe handles payments. We keep what you bought and your plan, not your card number.

Waitlists: if you join one, such as the Character.AI import's, your email address, to send one message when it opens.

Your devices: the browser and system you sign in from, when they were last active, your time zone, and your IP address for security.

2. How we use it

To run Mipo: show your chats and runs, write replies, remember what characters should remember, keep your credits and plan, and send sign-in codes and account emails.

To keep Mipo safe: handle reports, stop abuse and enforce the Community Guidelines.

To improve our models, only if you turn on “Help improve our models” in Settings. It’s off until you do, and you can turn it off at any time.

3. AI and the companies that help us

Your messages go to the AI models that write the replies, through Cloudflare’s AI Gateway and OpenRouter, only to write those replies. We keep a log of each AI request in Langfuse to find and fix problems.

Other companies run parts of Mipo for us: Cloudflare (hosting and files), Neon (our database), Stripe (payments) and Resend (email). Google, Discord and Apple know you use Mipo only if you sign in with them.

We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t show ads.

4. What others can see

What you publish, your public profile and your comments are visible to other players. Your chats, story runs and memories are private to you. In Settings you choose whether your profile shows your creations and saves, and who can comment.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your information while you have an account. When you delete your account, we delete it after the 14-day wait, except what the law requires us to keep, such as payment records.

6. Your choices

In Settings you can download your data, clear your chat history or every memory, turn memory off, choose which notifications you get, and delete your account.

7. Children

Mipo is for people 13 and older. If we learn that someone younger has an account, we delete it. If you think a child under 13 is using Mipo, write to support@mipo.im.

8. Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we update the date at the top, and we tell you in Mipo or by email before an important change takes effect.
