Chatting with a character

Pick a character, say hello, and the conversation goes wherever you take it.

Start a chat

Open a character and press Start chat. Every chat is its own: “Continue chat” picks up where you left off, and “New chat” starts again from the greeting. Your recent chats wait in History in the sidebar.

Choose a model

Pip (fast, short replies) and Cozy (warm, everyday chat) are free and unlimited in Character chat. Lore writes richer, longer replies for 4 credits a message.

Shape the replies

Regenerate gives another take on the latest reply, and the arrows switch between the versions. Continue makes the latest reply longer. Stuck for words? Mipo can suggest three ways to reply.

What they remember

Characters remember you: things you told them, a short profile of you and what happened in your chats. Open the memory panel in a chat to read, pin, edit or delete a memory, or add one yourself. Memory can be turned off, or kept to one chat, in Settings.
